PREFACE
All science is beautiful. But the science of fiqh is even better. Because a person who has the knowledge of fiqh finds religious solutions to all current problems he encounters, protects himself from erroneous behavior ... His knowledge of fiqh shows him the correct solution of the problem and prevents him from falling into wrongdoing.
Why did I enter the subject to remind the importance of fiqh science? If you let me give you the reason.
The excited gentleman on the other end of the phone was asking his question as follows:
The lady bequeathed her to be buried with her jewelry while in bed. He said, "Don't take out my gold, bury me with them in my grave." So we started to argue between us.
Should this testament be fulfilled or not? It must be brought, some said. It should not be brought, some said. We could not understand much from the catechism books we have. Isn't there a book written in a language that we can understand? I first presented my knowledge about the will to my unknown interlocutor on the phone as follows: Wills are the debts that the heirs are obliged to fulfill. If a will is made, there is an obligation to fulfill it.
However, if the testament does not want something haram, that is, if it demands something useful in accordance with the sunnah, it has an obligation to fulfill it; if it is a will that does not comply with the sunnah, or something that is useless, there is no obligation to do it. It would be better to abandon it than to apply it. Wills that contradict the sunnah cannot be fulfilled.
As a matter of fact, the will to be buried with gold jewelry appears to be a will that does not benefit anyone and is not suitable for circumcision. Because being buried with gold is of no use to the dead or alive. The useless wills are included in the type of wills that do not comply with the sunnah. There is no obligation to fulfill it.
If he had bequeathed to give his gold to the poor and the needy, it would be a legacy in accordance with the sunnah, and the obligation to fulfill it would be immediate. It is certain that such a will will benefit both himself and others.
It is strange that people who do not have the knowledge of fiqh can be influenced by the desire to be buried with their belongings. As a matter of fact, when the graves of those who have been influenced by this desire throughout history are opened, we see that they are buried with some precious items and valuable jewelry. In vain, these items are waiting in the grave next to the deceased, left to rot. It was neither useful to the dead nor to the living. Most of the time, they caused the destruction of the grave and the body by whetting the appetite of the grave robbers.
Leave it far, I have witnessed a similar testament in recent history. During a funeral I attended in Çanakkale, the hafizes began to read the Quran when the deceased was placed in the grave, and I saw with amazement that a huge minibus tire was rolled from behind and stood at the head of the grave. One of those who understood my astonishment leaned into my ear and explained the will of putting the tire on the dead person with the following sentence: The deceased was a driver! Is this what happens when he becomes a driver? I could say. The answer was of the same kind: He earned his life as a driver, spent his life on the tire he loved so much. They sew this beloved tire on his head as a memory of him.
Of course, these are the results of not knowing about the science of fiqh.. If they had one of the catechisms on these issues written in a language they could understand, such wills, which were of no use to either the dead or the living, would not be made, and it would have been immediately known that there was no need to fulfill them. Therefore, they do not have a work in the language and style they can understand. It is understood that the existing ones do not understand much from the language. Thank God, our Lord made it possible to respond to such urgent needs in the language and style they would understand with a new book.
At the end of a long study, the New Family Catechism-2 book, which we have presented to your appreciation, will find solutions to your problems in such places where you have difficulties, will show the truth and measure the issues you have doubts. are available.
When you carefully examine the content of the work, which shows solutions to many problems of the age we live in, within the dimensions of catechism, you will see with appreciation that easy ways out are shown to many issues that are thought to be very difficult. You will realize once again that Islam is a religion that can be lived in our lives under all kinds of conditions, and that it does not leave any situation desperate, and you will feel happy and joyful in the name of your belief.
Let us connect our words with the gospel words of the Prophet of Allah, the most beautiful of words, about fiqh. Our Prophet said, His Holiness sallallahü (peace be upon him):
If Allah wishes to be a good servant, He makes him knowledgeable in the science of fiqh.
I wish you to be a beneficial servant who progresses in fiqh, and I leave you alone with the fiqh knowledge of the New Family Catechism 2 - Islam in our lives, sir.
