His full name is Riyâzü’s-Sâlihîn min Kelâmi Sayyidi’l-Mürselîn. It was completed on Ramadan 1-4 670 (April 14, 1272).
While writing his work Nawawi, he will prepare a person for the hereafter, will give him the wrong and apparent manners, encourage him to do good behavior and keep him away from bad behavior, and asceticism, self-education, moralizing, purifying the hearts, protecting the organs in the body and preventing deviations and the truth apart from these. He stated that you attach importance to taking hadiths that will enable a Muslim to realize his other goals and notes.
Nawawi begins the subject he deals with by first citing the verses on that subject and then narrates the hadiths. The author paid particular attention to the authenticity of the hadiths he took in his work. Soil and note from this; approximately two thirds of the hadiths in the work are taken from Bukhari and Muslim's Sahfü Ter. Most of the hadiths other than these were reported from Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi's Sünen Sweat. Nesâî, Dârim and Dârekutnî's Sünen, Imam Malik's Muwatta, Ahmed b. Har.- Musnad of bel and al-Müstedrek of Judge an-Nîsâbûrî are other sources that the author referred to.
After the author reported the hadiths, he stated the source of the hadith at the end of each hadith, pointed out the health status of the hadiths other than the Sahîhs of Bukhari and Muslim, explained the words and phrases in the hadiths from time to time, very long hadiths were sometimes shortened, and a few hadiths were also abbreviated. He narrated.
Although Nawawi tells Riyâzü's-Sâlihîn that the hadiths he received are sound, it is recorded that there are few weak hadiths in the work, some of them claim as many as three and some of them as many as fifty. Elbânî and Şuayb al-Amaût stated the degrees of weak narration and note in their lines, but they pointed out that they did not decrease the value of the work.
