At the beginning of the nineteenth century, when the Ottoman Empire was facing a rapid decline and was gradually descending from the peak of the world domination that it had risen to, a decline was also noticeable in the madrasas. There are no longer scholars who have written hundreds of works, nor high geniuses who have opened a wide door to science and civilization. Europe woke up from the deep sleep of the Middle Ages and took rapid steps into life and managed to claim this heritage by embracing the knowledge and science that Muslims had prepared and laid the foundation for for centuries. The Islamic world had lost its former strength and power, aside from pausing, it was pushing itself back a little more every day, it could not even claim the heritage of science and civilization inherited from its grandparents.

There was no lack of enthusiastic people who gave themselves to knowledge in this painful period of hearts. Those who could not immerse themselves in religious sciences in the Ottoman lands reached as far as Egypt and Medina and thus tried to replenish their religious education. The author of the book in your hand was one of these enthusiasts. After studying for seven or eight years in madrasas that had lost their former characteristics in Turkey, this person took the holy breath in Egypt in order to fill the void and be more useful to the memory and soon endeared himself to the scientific community.

We can say that the author of the work, Sayyid Muhammad Hakkı Efendi, embraced Islamic sciences and continued his education at the Mosque of al-Azhar in Egypt for many years. Despite his homesickness, his love for science made him forget everything, and he often thanked Allah for having the opportunity to come to Egypt.

The author knew how to make use of the scientists around him on every occasion, visited zevat-ı kiram, who made a reputation in science, and presented to them the issues he could not solve. After he had thoroughly developed in the external sciences and was flattered by the compliment of the Mosque al-Azhar khatib, he gave himself to sufism on the one hand, and thus explored ways to purify himself spiritually and to make tehzib moral, to become a pure soul and a perfect human being.

A TREASURE TROVE OF SECRETS
The author had the opportunity to get acquainted with many people from the Sufi erbab, showed the clairvoyance to get permission from most of them about himself and thus gradually became able to have a say in the external and western sciences. By the way, he had prepared his book HAZINETU'L ESR ve Ajirc;R ve mdash; CELIUETU'L-AZK ve Ajirc;R, which we translated first, and presented it to the khatib of al-Azhar, who made a name for himself with his knowledge, lore, and Decencies in 1284 Hijri. The orator of al-Azhar, after reading and studying the book with great attention, used the following sentences:

and laquo;I have read the book Hazinetu'l-Cannabis with the eye of a researcher. This wonderful work was compiled and made available to the public by the powerful supreme imam, who rarely met his wife, the most powerful Sayyid Muhammad, who is undoubtedly subject to Allah's repentance, and presented to the public for the benefit of the public. Yes, I found this book to be a garden with developed fruits, a fairly spacious vineyard. How could it not be that he collected many authentic and hasen hadiths in order to increase the reputation of the Noble Qur'an, ensured that this book was sent to mubine and opened the door for it to be acted upon properly. and raquo;

while summarizing al-Azhar orator Ibrahim Saqa's taqriz above, we want to make a reference to the author's wisdom and zeal: Sayyid Mu-hammed Hakkı wrote his second work in Egypt six years later; he collected and explained the virtues of jihad and mujahideen through narration and thus expressed the importance of jihad in Islam and the value it is worthy of. In this second work, he also learned from many cannabis and havass, and refused to intoxicate the qudsiyy of jihad with the qudsiyyy of his cannabis.

However, however, this second work of the author was not as famous as the first one and was not in demand by the public in that respect. Perhaps the fact that the work was printed once and its availability decreased and it remained in limited hands may have caused this. We wish that the same publishing house would have this major Turkish scholar's second mentioned work translated and make another contribution to our cultural life.

The author Sayyid Muhammad Hakkı özbeöz is an Anatolian child. He is from the village of GÜZELHISAR of Nazilli. In the past, this name was also used as a second name for the Intellectual life. Sayyid Muhammad Hakkı, who was a Nazilite, wrote several other Arabic works besides these two works and thus he knew how to enrich Islamic libraries with his own knowledge and pen.

Muhammad Tahir Efendi from Bursa mentions Muhammad Hakkı Efendi in the following sentences in the teracim-i ahvali section of meshayih, şuara, muverrihin and etihban belonging to AYDIN vilayet of his coastal work entitled Ottoman Authors:

He is a zahid and pious person from the ulema and mashayihm of the Naqshbandi sect and is from NAZILLI. Abdah Dehtevi, one of the leading men of Naqshbandi, is one of the most distinguished caliphs of His Holiness and one of the strongmen of Hindi Muhammad CAN Efendi, who died in Mecca-i Mukerreme in 1267, and Haji Halil Hilmi Efendi, who died in his hometown of ÖDEMIŞ in 1285. So he took the caliphate from him. This person was compared to rah-met-i Yazdan in Makkah-i Mukarrama in 1215.

Here is a printed work written in Arabic called HAZINETU'L-ESR ve Ajirc;R AND JALILATU'L-EZK ve Ajirc;R by Sayyid Muhammad Hakkini of Nazilli, who is the successor of these people. As a result of the printer's error, the works of SHEIKH AL-AKBAR MUHYIDDIN ARABI named RIS and Acirc; LETULENV and Acirc; R have been added by giving the name of MERAMAT-I IL and Acirc; HIYYE, which are one of the valuable works of the aforementioned.

Thus, it was understood that the author wrote seven works, two of which were large volumes, and five of them were printed together, two of them were written and printed separately, and there was no other record or Decertification that he had other works.

His work HAZINETÜ'L-ESR and Acirc;R, which we have Deciphered, is among the classics that are both very well known and very popular in our country. The author has devoted a wide space to the Noble Qur'an in this work, has focused on the hashish and hawass of Kitabullah, and has narrated many hadiths on the subject. However, both while collecting and recording hadiths, and while giving place to some opinions and transmissions, sometimes he could not help transmitting weak news and sometimes even gave place to narrations that were not the truth. We attribute this to the sincerity of the author, and we welcome his work with tak-dir because he devotes more space to authentic narrations.

In spiritual treatment, he processed the verses of Surah and verses of the Quran with great skill, tried to evaluate this with historical examples, opened doors from the age of bliss, the age of companions and tabi, allowing for a better understanding of the subject. As a translator, we have drawn attention to the implementation of material and spiritual treatment together and thus helped to better understand the view of Islam on this issue. In some places, we tried to interpret and interpret the author's views with footnotes, and we especially put our fingers on the places to be criticized.

Despite his extensive knowledge and his interest in Arabic, the author had difficulty using a fluent expression because he was originally Turkish. We tried to give him fluency while translating and tried to address the middle layer by using an easier expression.
Let us state again that while waiting for help from the verses and verses about spiritual treatment in the book, it is necessary not to forget my ways of material treatment. The Holy Prophet (P.A.V.) It is possible to come across several examples of this in the life of our Lord.

Since the author joined the Naqshbandi sect and attained the rank of caliphate in this valley, he processed his work more in the spirit of Sufism and thus addressed the meaning rather than the image, the soul rather than the body. For this reason, he has given wide scope to the views of meshayih-ı kiram, conveyed the inspirations they have received, evaluated their views.

Sometimes he opened the door to worship in order to be a condiment in his work, mentioned fards and sunnah, expressed the broad meaning of worship on souls with symbols, and made references to cannabis and its wisdom. Meanwhile, during his stay in Medihe-i Munevvere, he had the opportunity to meet many mashayih and ulama who came there from the Islamic world for visits, he received extensive information about the mystery of the Qur'an, the Decrees of my prayers, and he did not neglect to get permission from the authorized person he met on almost every issue.

The Messenger of Allah (P.A.V.) He searched for ways to attain intercession with the Messenger of Allah by frequently activating his heart, which was ignited by the love of our Lord, interviewed the Messenger of Allah many times as a manifestation of His love and love for Him, and reached the fuyuzat-ı Muhammadiyya. The recommendations he has made to his readers are above all appreciation.
