and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the lambs. It is He who created mankind from nothing, sent His Messengers to guide them to the right path, and sent down the books. Our Prophet and our Lord Hazrat. May peace and blessings be upon Muhammad Mustafa, his family, companions and those who follow him until the Day of Resurrection. Now: Allah Almighty has narrated the stories of the Prophets in order to be a source of consolation and a source of guidance for the invitees. In many suras of the Noble Qur'an, these stories are sometimes mentioned in detail and sometimes in general. The Prophet, may Allah's peace and Blessings be upon him, mentioned both the stories of the Prophets and many events that took place in their ummah in the Hadith-i sharifs.
Here, Islamic historians have classified these Decrees by bringing them together under the name of "Kasasul-Anbiya /The Stories of the Prophets". They have written many books about this. One of these books is the magnificent work named "Kasasu'l-Anbiya" by Hafiz Ibn Kathir, a muhaddis, mufessir, faqih and historian. This book is actually a chapter of Hafiz Ibn Kathir's great history book "al-Bidaya wa'n-Niha". It has been printed alone in this way to be more useful and reach more people.
There are some features of this book that distinguish it from other similar ones: Hafiz Ibn Kathir, who is a Muhaddis, narrated the hadiths related to the subject with his deeds, indicated the sources of the hadiths and carefully indicated whether the hadiths are authentic. He interpreted the relevant verse by giving the verses related to the subject. He Deconstructed the disputed points found between the narrations. He has been very careful about Israel. Because the area in which the Israelites are narrated the most is the subject of stories. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the narrations of Beni Israel, who slandered their Prophets. In any case, the point where many historians are wrong is that they transmit these rumors without sorting them at all. Here Hafiz Ibn Kathir, the muhaddis and the interpreter, has divided the narrations that were transmitted to me from Israel into my three winters. Those that should be rejected because they are contrary to our sharia should be accepted because they exist and are approved in our sharia, and note;these are the issues that should be accepted and are not contrary to our religion, even though they do not exist in our sharia. These are neither denied nor confirmed. But it can be narrated and transmitted. Hafiz Ibn Kathir also wrote his book with this care and explained these parts in an elaborate way.
Some of the issues that we pay attention to in translation:
1- We did not give the promissory notes of the hadiths.
2- We have satisfied the issues related to Arabic language grammar. Again, we did not translate the poems mentioned for grammar.
May Allah be pleased with the memory and forgive both our and his installments. May he make our deeds pure for his own pleasure and make this translation a useful work.
