PREFACE OF THE FIRST EDITION
The herald of mercy, Hz. Muhammad, Khalilurrahman Hz. Ibrahim, the waterfall of patience Hz. Ayyub, Hz. Hatice and Hz. After Abu Bakr, the Hz. Almighty Allah gave me the opportunity to write the book about Omar. Currently, Hz. Osman, Mr. Ali and the sword of Allah, Khalid b. I am working on Walid. I have confidence that these works will be completed by the end of next year. I get this trust only from the immense support of my God. My gratitude to him is unlimited.
When this book is read and finished, it will be seen that Hz. Umar (r.a), Hz. It was created by God with superhuman qualities. Only the prophets were superior to him. In fact, this decree is based on our beloved Prophet Hz. Muhammad (pbuh): "If there was a prophet after me, it would be Umar." or: "If I had not been sent to you, Umar would have been sent to you".
This is a fact. Because: Mr. Umar (r.a) had a body that could not be bent and his back could not be brought to the ground. He developed it himself. He was brave, heroic. Due to the impossibilities of his age, he had not worked in any government job until the age of forty. He had no experience in this matter and had not taken any lessons. But as soon as he became the caliph, he knew how to carry this heavy burden better than anyone else. As if this mission was her dress. He wore it and fitted it.
His ten-year caliphate was overflowing with revolutions emanating from his genius. He was an example for past, present and future commanders. There was no war he didn't win. The messengers who came to Medina from Persia, Byzantium and Egypt always repeated the same word: Victory! Victory!.. And thus the greatest states of the era were wiped out from the face of the earth.
The armies of Islam crossed the Taurus Mountains and reached the heart of Asia and Africa. There is no doubt that if a slave did not have that cruel dagger, Hz. Umar (r.a) would give the earth its brightest and proudest air.
HZ. OMER
Hz. Umar (r.a) broke new ground in military service and military organization with his genius as a commander. It is he who divides the army into parts, dresses it in uniforms, establishes the chain of command. He did not neglect to organize the supply works. It adopted and renewed the strategy and tactics. He created the army equipment organization. It focuses on sanitary work. The first nurse organization in divisions is his work. This organization was used in the Battle of Qadisiye. No matter where the wars took place, he held the reins of the army and did not forget that he was the commander-in-chief.
He used new systems in the government's internal affairs, finance, justice, public works and foreign affairs. Even today, the number of nations that implement these systems is not many. He built cities and opened channels. Had he lived, the Suez Canal would have been opened at that time, during his reign. The importance given to dams and roads is unlimited.
To explain all this in the preface means to write a book again. Especially freedom, justice, equality and moral rules overshadowed Roman law. He was the first to take the census. He focused on education and opened numerous schools. He established the foundation system. He has paid salaries to his officers.
Every ruler or head of state, especially those who were famous in history, used viziers in their business. Even so, St. When compared to Umar (r.a), there is a difference between a hill and a mountain.
He was literate. He knew Hebrew. He studied the Torah. He was fascinated by the fine arts. He understood poetry. He would encourage. He wanted to work, to progress. In particular, human love was unlimited. San-ki motto: It was a better home, a more beautiful homeland, a more festive world for man.
He was the one who knew and understood the Qur'an best and followed its orders. When the jurists and religious scholars of the time got stuck, they would take inspiration from him. In fact, his contribution to the science of fiqh and hadith was great. He was worried about the hadiths because of his deep love and respect for the Prophet, his respect for the Qur'an and the Almighty Allah. He was afraid of what would be fabricated and tied the rumors to the rules.
He was most afraid of going back to idols. He would take the measure this way. Even if it was a memory, it prevented exaggerated devotions. In that age, in the first years of Islam, of course he had to.
Although his heart and heart were filled with immense compassion and compassion, when the future of man was in question, he would put his feelings to sleep, and his hands would reach out to evil people with the lion's claws cut off. It was parts. He wouldn't make any concessions. Punishing his son for drinking with his own hands was an example born out of love for the human future.
Which ruler was or will be so that he would not receive the greatest share of worldly blessings. Don't let the pleasure and happiness last. Doesn't he deserve this? The only one who turned his back on such a life was Hz. It was Umar (r.a). He sneered at the treasures piling up in front of him. It did not leave simplicity. He did not break with the people. He lived like them. There were many times when he crossed the deserts on foot, laying on the sand and making the stone a pillow and the sky a quilt. He carried the waters of the widows and orphans and the wretched. He saw his needs from the market. He personally distributed the letters from the front to the families of the soldiers, going from door to door, and wrote their answers sitting on the thresholds. Despite descending from such a height, he did not lose anything from his glory and majesty. On the contrary, it grew and rose.

and mdash; il-This is the work of such a person, Hz. It is the life story of Umar (r.a). We all know that a book is a friend, a teacher. I never forgot this while writing the work.
A few friends told me to cite the sources taken from time to time, or to add them to the end. Their concern was to assure the reader that the information contained in these pages is correct. Of course they were right. However, in this and my other works, my hand never went to do this. Because I was afraid that the book would lose its teaching and friendship quality.
The teaching system of our age has established a mechanism. He is of the opinion that definite results can be obtained with a story, a show, a film, a television, and an exercise, rather than a conference. So I chose the novel. Undoubtedly, there is fantasy in the novel. It was very difficult to write a real novel. Especially convincing the reader of its reality!
We've all lived. The irrelevant signs and writings on the walls in the classroom attracted and distracted us during the lesson. In this way, we are disconnected from the lesson, from the teacher. We even caught sight of the curvature of the teacher's tie.
So is the book. Since he is also a teacher, there should be no foreigners in him and in his classroom. This purpose has prevented me from writing appendices to the pages. I even sacrificed my own poems so that the pages would not be quoted.
It was possible to make a references index at the end of the book. It was personal anxiety that kept me from this. The famous sources of Islamic history are essentially clear. Writing them does not complete the purpose. Maybe there were some I forgot while I was writing the others. Because it was a sin to neglect one of the things that remained in my mind from what I read until this age. I hesitated. Enthusiasts turn to well-known sources.
There is a third and important reason that leads me to this. Maybe it will be considered a dream at first when it is read. I wish people of faith to forget the lie now. Lying, which is forbidden by Allah in the Qur'an and which is the root of all evil, seemed to have almost disappeared in the past. We must prepare for those days again. Our children in the coming centuries should be surprised to see the word "lie" in the dictionary and ask what it means. Lies should be so far away from people. How does this happen? This can be started by paving the way for not using lies in our words and writings.
I did not write anything false or fabricated in my works. If it is believed, of course, the desired goal will be achieved. Undoubtedly, mistakes have been made unknowingly. But they are never meant to be lies. Believing what is in the books is the main weapon for the war against lies. Maybe I'm too optimistic. But in my works, I thought of serving this purpose by not giving any resources. I think there are many believers who are in my way. I get my strength and support from them.
Hz. May my work named Omar (r.a) be beneficial and auspicious to all humanity!

'Author Ahmet Cemil Akıncı has demonstrated his mastery with the books he has published before. The novelization of such a scholarly subject is quite responsible. I believe that the necessary sensitivity has been shown in this matter.'
